SL500 & SL550 - Installation Procedure with DS550

Step 1
Locate the part  ARM005 or 1040X the Installation_Pattern  and TABTOP03




Step 2
Place the Installation_Pattern on the surface of the table and align it with the center.
Make sure to flush the line with the edge of the table.



Step 3
Use scotch tape to secure the position of the pattern with the center of the table.
And proceed to punch with the screwdriver the cross that indicates a hole.



Step 4
Unpack the accessories bag and locate the rails and screws


Step 5
Proceed to install the rails, eye sensor sticker and joystick plate.



Step 6
Proceed to install the power supply.
TYPE A)  The slitlamp arm of the unit is on the right side (right-handed)
TYPE B)  The slitlamp arm of the unit is on the left side (left-handed)




Step 7
Locate the center and make a mark on both pieces
Center 1) Between the rails 
Center 2) Between the chinrest bars.


Step 8
Place the chinrest on the right position a align both marks.


Step 9
Use a drill bit  3/18 and proceed to drill the hole.


Step 10
Take 2 wood nuts that are not in use.
Use a twist drill bit to clean the entrance of the wood nut.



Step 11
Use a the set of the screws provided to moun the chinrest.

Step 12
Use a Plastic Insulated Cable Staple to secure the cables.


Step 13
Connect the power cables.


Step 14
Use the 4 bolts to secure the mounting pin into the table.


Step 15
The installation should look like this. (The position of the power supply may vary)




Step 16
Check balance and good leveling. Do any adjustments as needed.




Step 17
Place the base on the table and remove the rubber piece.


Step 18
Take the slit arm and remove the screw.  Find good alignment between the slit arm and the base.








Step 19
Connect the cable into the tower light housing (SL550 Model Ony) and cut the zip tie on the fixation light.



Step 20
Connect the chinrest cable into LED and verify the POWER IN connection coming from the power supply.



Step 21
Install the binoculars and magnifications.


Step 22
Install the digital camera if applies.




Step 23
Install the binoculars.


Step 24
Install the USB cable.


Step 25

Install the software and plug the USB into the PC.
